From one of the ladies in our church:
I am so excited! My next door neighbor told me a testimony of the goodness of God yesterday and I just have to share it.
A little background info: Her Mother has been sick and had some tests done - Her Primary Dr called her at 10pm one night last week - just before 4th of July - and woke her up to tell her that she had some spots on her lungs and kidneys and it was cancer. Of course, she and her husband did not go back to sleep the rest of the night and she has been a wreck ever since. My neighbor, Mia has been very upset as well. On Friday, 07/03/09, the Lord laid it on my heart to stop by their house and get Mia to lay hands with me on her mother and pray over her. I also anointed her with oil. In the meantime, over the last couple of years, Mia's truck has been doing strange things. It has a passive alarm system and every once in awhile it thinks that she is trying to break in and locks itself down. Sometimes it is hours or even days before it will release and she can then start the truck. Now for the testimony......it's sooooooo good!
Yesterday, July 9, 2009, Mia's mother, Ruth, had an appt with a urologist re the spots on her kidneys. Mia was getting ready to go to pick her up and, of course, the truck shut itself down and wouldn't start. She asked her husband to go out and see what he could do - knowing that there wasn't really anything he could do. She said that the Lord reminded her that He had told her to grab her anointing oil as she had gone out of the door and she hadn't done it. She picked up the oil and decided she was going to pray over the truck. She walks out and her husband is sitting behind the wheel of the truck and sees the oil and looks at her like - Oh, no, you're not gonna embarrass me in front of all our neighbors. She looked right at him and laid a line of oil in the shape of a cross on the hood of that truck and then walked completely around the truck praising the Lord and praying. Inside she was saying, "Lord, you know I can't afford a new vehicle and I can't even afford to fix this one. Please fix this truck so I can go take my momma to the Dr. I know you don't want me to be embarrassed in front of my husband and my neighbors either." (Neighbors were out doing yard work, etc.) She stopped in front of the truck, looked at her husband and he turned the key and the truck started!!!! How good is our God!!!
She then went and picked up her Mom. On the way to the urologist, she told her mom about what had happened and said, "Mom, I know that the Lord cares a lot more about your kidneys than He does about an old truck. I know He's gonna heal you." She said her mom perked up a little at that. Also, Mia's brother had told them to be praying Ps 91 and 41 and when they were called back into the exam room to stand up and declare Ps 41 over them. While they were waiting to be called back Ruth looked a Mia and said, "I just felt a huge peace come over me. I'm more peaceful than I've been for weeks." Long story short, the urologist told them that the spots were just a couple of cysts and were not cancerous. HALLELUJAH!
They still have to go see the Pulmonary Dr about her lungs, but we're believing for a Kingdom report! Can anyone say, "PRAISE THE LORD". I hope this blesses you and remember - the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy! Spread the good news.
